The TEKNIK PUTRA is a purpose built survey vessel
used to perform geophysical and general survey
operations. The vessel is typically deployed onto
pipeline and cable route survey contracts, but also
used for geophysical site and hydrographics
surveys, Vibro coring and shallow geotechnical sampling
surveys.
It is one of five owned and
operated by TL Geohydrographics throughout the Asia
Pacific region. The vessel is fitted with a 105m x 105m
square moon pool located forward of the accommodation,
through Multi Beam and various survey sensors can be
deployed. A 10 tonne hydraulic Luffing 'A' frame is
fitted at the stern.
Instruments can be towed and deployed from a 10 tonne
oceanographic winch at the main deck.
The winch is fitted with electrical slip
rings and can accommodate approximately 4500 metres of
oceanographic or sidescan sonar cable. The vessel is outfitted
as standard with precision DGPS positioning, SG Brown 1000S
survey gyro, Sonardyne LUSBL acoustic positioning system, and
ODOM DF 3200 MKII Survey Echo Sounder. A suite of sonar and
seismic equipment is fitted as required. A Survey Instrument
Room of approximately 20 m² is located adjacent to
the main deck at the stern.
This room is typically outfitted with survey equipment for
online survey data acquisition. A survey post processing room of
approximately 100 m² is located forward on the lower
deck. There is approximately 70 m² of free deck space
available on the aft main deck, and approximately 50 m² forward. The main processing room forward has a large
hatch through which standard 20 foot containers can pass.
The TEKNIK PUTRA has capacity for 80
tonnes of fuel and
44 tonnes of fresh water. A water maker produces up to 8 tonnes
per day. Typical endurance is around 28 days. The vessel
provides accommodation for a total of 31 persons onboard in
air-conditioned cabins. There are two large mess room,
recreational facilities and a hospital. Up to two client
personnel can be accommodated in single cabins with en suite
facilities.
Phone, Fax and Data Telemetry is available from the NERA Inmarsat B system.
GSM telephone is also available. The vessel complies
with international GMDSS requirements.
The vessel is maintained under Lloyd class, and is fully
covered under the company's Hull and PNI insurance.
